Z Place and ZOOM Sites

Z Place is a comprehensive, community-based early childhood and family support center and network that includes a full range of innovative learning and community services designed to enhance the lives of children, families, and communities. On January 17, 2014, Z Place had its First Birthday Party where partners, children, families, and communities gathered to celebrate Z Place’s successful first year. At the event, Z Place’s annual report was distributed, documenting the utilization of Z Place throughout the year. 6,510 people participated at Z Place, 13,008 people participated in Z Place throughout the region, and 1000 people from 26 organizations used Z Place Meeting Spaces. Z Place, in partnership with Book Trust, provided over 57,000 free books to K-3 students.

Z Place upholds unprecedented customer service to its partners and to the community. Intentional collaboration is fostered between partners at Z Place by means of the Internal Referral System, Z Place newsletter, partners meetings, and strategic management. 

Z Place, in collaboration with Young Adults for Positive Action, operates ZOOM Sites throughout the Far Northeast Denver Community. ZOOM Sites are school-based community centers that support Denver Public School's in accomplishing the Denver Plan 2020.  so that we are able to reach even more students and families in order to reach our goal of 90% student and family engagement.

Steps to Success's mission is to promote positive youth development and reduce youth violence in Montbello through a coordinated community-wide effort. We envision a self-empowered community that we are proud of. Since 2011, we have worked with residents in Montbello to support positive youth development and prevent youth violence.
